2 billion download mark with Apple App Store

What a number! 2 billion downloads.  It took the App Store to have 1 billion apps to 1.5 billion apps in 3 months.  And now, 1.5 billion to 2 billion in just 2 months plus.

According to the press, Apple has now over 85,000 apps in the App Store.  Apple owns the number one web store at the moment.  Palm, Microsoft, Google and others still have a long way to go to beat the numbers.
