HTC Touch HD2 to be An Android set?
HTC is planning on making a major change to its high-res handset for the sequel: it’s switching to Android. The upcoming Touch HD2 is rumoured to be running Android instead of Windows Mobile 6.5. The CPU is reportedly a 628MHz Qualcomm chip, just slightly faster than its predecessor, Touch HD. If this is true, it will become the fastest Android handset to date. Of course we don’t forget the the rumoured Sony Ericsson’s Rachael, which uses Snapdragon at 1GHz. Both of the handsets have not been officially annouced and confirmed by either vendor yet.
