cliq2“The first phone with social skills” -- Motorola just announced its first Adroid phone, the CLIQ, during the Mobilize conference.  It is based around a skin called Blur (or MOTOBLUR) created by Motorala.  CLIQ is built around social networking, witk live widgets that integrate Twitterm Facebook, Gmail, MySpace, Yahoo, Last.fm and more.  It also comes with a Palm Synergy like engine that will aggregate all your contacts into a single address book.  And it will show you recent status along with photos when contacts call you.  There is also remote wipe and GPS tracking like MobileMe.  Watch out!  iPhone, HTC Hero and Palm Pre.

It will come in two colours, Winter White and Titanium, and have a 3.1 inch 320 x 480 screen, 3G, WiFi, and a five megapixel camera.  It will be available in US by fourth quarter. When it goes out of US, it will be called DEXT.  And no annoucement of when it will be available outside US.

With CLIQ, it will be interesting to see whether Motorola can regain the Mobile phone market.
