Palm announces Pixi

While we are still waiting for GSM version of Pre to be available in Asia, Palm has officially unveiled its second webOS phone, the ultra-thin Palm Pixi.
Pixi is coming in at just 10.85 mm, it is thinner than the Pre by 6.1 mm and even the iPhone 3Gs by 1.45 mm. The Pixi will be launching exclusively on Sprint (so it is EVDO 3G also), though Palm has yet to reveal availability dates or pricing.
The Pixi is quite small and will have a full 8 GB of storage. It has a smaller screen than the Pre, at 320 x 400 (instead of 320 x 480). And Pixi is not a slider phone like the Pre. It will not come with WiFi and will be Touchstone-enabled.
Also coming with the Pixi will be an updated Synergy, which will bring LinkedIn contact sync and Yahoo contacts, calendar, and IM into the mix. A new webOS Facebook app is also in the cards (pun only partially intended).
