Android 2.0 (Eclair) details leaked
This is the first detailed leak for Android 2.0 (a.k.a Eclair). The guys at BGR has some cool details for the still-in-the-making Android 2.0. BGR has quite a number of screen shots and they look so good. It is not the final built yet but some of the new features sound very promising.
Here are some of the new things:
- The interface and icons look more modern and professional.
- Native exchange supports.
- Facebook integration, including contact sync.
- Unified Inbox.
- Google Map supports layers.
- Multitouch support for many of the built in applications.
- New Youtube application that supports video upload.
- Text to speech and voice control.
- Car Home – an application that shows a car driver friendly screen.
- Improved contact application.
I have started to love it and couldn’t wait till it is released. I am sure the Android 2.0 has lots of potential to be one of the most advanced and preferred platform for mobile and embedded devices.
