Huawei promises to bring a series of Android phones to market
Huawei, the China based technology firm, confirms they are working on a series of Android phones now which will be brought to market shortly.
A spokeswoman mentioned in an email that Huawei will release a “series” of Android handsets in Europe, the Asia Pacific and Latin America. One Android phone from the company, the Huawei Pulse, is already sold by T-Mobile in the U.K.
Huawei is welknown to manufacture low cost networking equipments like routers, LAN switches, telecom switches, etc. The path Huawei is going now is similar to what has been done by HTC – manufacture phones for other people and then later for their own brands. We shall see if there is another “HTC” in few years time.
