Lenovo buys back the mobile business
Lenovo, one of the largest PC and notebook manufacturer , has bought back their mobile technology spinoff, Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology Ltd who released their first Android based OPhone in China not long ago.
Lenovo Mobile was owned by a private equity group, Legend Holding, who owns Lenovo Group also. With the buys back, Lenovo will have total control of its mobile strategy and they can make a better road map for convergence of desktop and mobile technology.
Lenovo Mobile is currently the number 3 mobile phone manufacturer in China and number 1 in terms of local player. With this move, we hope to see Lenovo phone to go out from China and reach the world soon.
