Samsung to introduce a new Mobile OS, called Bada

Gee… here comes another Mobile OS, this time it is Bada from the Korean phone maker, Samsung.

According to the press: “This new addition to Samsung’s mobile ecosystem enables developers to create applications for millions of new Samsung mobile phones, and consumers to enjoy a fun and diverse mobile experience.”

Bada means ocean in Korean.  According to the press, it was chosen to convey the limitless variety of potential applications which can be created using the new platform. It is the first open mobile platform  from Samsung.  Tools and SDK for developers will be released in December.  When it is released, it will become one of the major mobile platforms in the market that comes from Asia to join the already crowded smartphone market.
