Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (Rachael) is official now

It is official now, Sony Ericsson has officially announced the long awaited Rachael.  It was previous known as Xperia X3, but it is officially called X10 now.

The official hardware specs is impressive even though we already had some tips before:

• 480 x 854 screen resolution.
• 1Gb internal memory, with micro SD card slot for up to 16Gb expansion.
• 8.1 mega pixel camera, with auto focus, face recognition, smile detection, Geo tagging
• Wifi, bluetooth, aGPS

Sony Ericsson has a customized Timescape application added on top of the standard Android 1.6 (Donut) which work the same way as Motorola’s MOTOBLUR.  It adds Facebook, Twitter social networking to the contact application.  With its 1Ghz Snapdragon, Sony Ericsson has made the interface smooth and looks very juicy.  The X10 has also included a Mediascape application which centralized all your medias, like photos, video, Youtube and others.  Both local and networked media can be managed here.  This is a big plus to the standard Android which lacks media capability.

Another nice touch of the phone is its capability of doing face recognition which will auto tag your contact to the photo based on previous photo tagging.  And by tapping on the face, the phone can dial to the contact.

No word of when it will be released, but generally we are expecting it to be available in the first half of 2010.
