Windows Mobile 7.0 Status – OEM testing Q1 2010?
Microsoft is at the moment playing a defensive game with Windows Mobile 6.5 and is putting a lot of hope for their upcoming Windows Mobile 7 next year.
According to the source from ZDNet, Taiwan, Microsoft will be releasing Windows Mobile 7 to the OEM for testing. And comsumers will receive it by Q3 2010.
Microsoft has shown its will to revamp its strategy of mobile platform. The new version will not be an upgrade for the existing Windows Mobile 6.5. It will be a brand new platform that will co-exist with the existing Windows Mobile 6.5. A new core with new things.
Microsoft’s market share in mobile platform has dropped to 9% and Windows Mobile 7 will be their hope to regain the market.
