hacked_navigationWhen Google released the Google Maps Navigation (the turn-by-turn navigation) for Android 1.6 and above, it was not so good news for users not residing in US as the service is only available in US.  May be this is due to licensing restriction?  Otherwise, I would think Google’d surely like to offer the service worldwide.

Then there came the hackers from XDA-Developers and they made the service work in the regions outside US with some hacks and many people were happy.

And of course Google won’t be happy about this.  The recent relase of version 3.3, the loop hole is closed and nobody outside US is, again, allowed to use the service.

And it is now for the XDA-Developers to crack their brilliant heads and come out with another hack.  Let us just wait.
