The Google phone (Nexus One) story continues, hitting market by early January?
Engadget just has an exclusive coverage of the updates of Google Phone, the Nexus one.
There are quite a number of phots posted. The updated OS features new 3D elements to the app tray, as well as an extended amount of homescreens. There is now a new grid icon at the bottom of the homescreen, which when pressed brings up a webOS card-style preview of all homescreen page. It also includes the new Google Goggles. They also pointed out there’s a quick start guide in the packaging which points users to a “questions” page at google.com/phone/support (the page is dead at the moment). In one of the photo that shows an area at the back of the phone covered by a paper which believed to be a QR code. And it suggests the phone is a marketable product. There is also information from FCC for a little phone by the name of “NEXUSONE” as model number PB99100 built by HTC. The filing also confirms a few more details including microSD expansion, 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The radios: quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE with UMTS/HSUPA. The link is here.
There is also rumours from AndroidandMe that the phone will be sold on 5th January for a price of USD199, subsidized by Google. And even ABC News is reporting the Nexus One is coming to T-Mobile.
