Unofficial Android 2.1 for HTC Hero is available for download now

I have just posted the unofficial screenshots of Android 2.1 for HTC Hero 2 days ago, and now XDA-Developers have gotten it to run and released for everybody to download.
According to post on XDA-Developers, it is still being worked on and bugs are being ironed out from time to time. However, it is definitely working on your GSM version of HTC Hero.
By looking at the progress, the official release of Android 2.1 for HTC Hero from HTC should be around the corner (HTC, can we have that when Google releases Andoird 2.1, please?) However, if you can’t wait to try the power of Android 2.1 on your Hero and willing to take the risk, you can go to XDA-Developers now from here.
Enjoy and let me know if it works on your Hero. I might want to try it on mine
