The beez world of phones (News, Tips, Information)
Pictures of HTC Bravo got leaked, coming soon?
The brother of Google Nexus One, the HTC Bravo, may be coming to market sooner than what we thought.
The Bravo has almost identical specs as Nexus: 3.7″ AMOLED screen, 1Ghz Snapdragon, WVGA screen, 5MP camera, etc. However, it has been spotted an optical joystick and it is rumoured to come with FM radio receiver. And of course, being a high end HTC Android device, it will come with the Sense interface and the latest Android 2.1.
It has similar form factor with the Nexus One and will be compete directly with the Nexus One, and of course, the iPhone.
I can’t wait to see it arrives in the market.

Hi,
Do you have any idea when the Bravo will come out in SG?
Since you are using the Nexus one, is it much better than the Hero? Do you miss sense UI?
I am thinking of buying one of these 3…
Thanks

There is still no official news from HTC or any of the operators. By looking at the progress of Android 2.1 with Sense which is rumoured to be released by end of March, the release of Bravo could be around this period as well. So I guess Bravo should reach Singapore around May – June period.
I do miss Hero’s Sense UI for for some its functionalities, but Nexus One is much faster. I don’t have to wait for applications to open all the time (usually take many seconds to open). Hero is very slow. I can get the functionalities back by installing some widgets and applications, although they are not as beautiful as the Sense UI. And I love the big screen with higher resolution. But the key thing is the speed. And it is easy to unlock and install custom ROMs from the community. So, bye bye my Hero
If you love the Sense UI and don’t mind to wait, then wait for Bravo. Otherwise, my advise is to get the Nexus One.

Thanks for your reply!
This choice looks challenging to me… I am not sure to be able to wait until may!
And Nexus one from Google is still a bit expensive compared to operator subsidized phones…

Haha, sure. I struggled a bit when making decision to buy Nexus One as well. However, I could be wrong. The Bravo may come earlier
Or wait till the operators bring in Nexus One.

Hi gohyc,
May I know how much u bought the Nexus One? Is it from Google?

Yes, I got it directly from Google. It was USD576.32 (phone, adapter and shipping) plus GST SGD64. So altogether I paid around SGD870.
