HTC revenue up for Q1 and looking for growth in Q2
In Q1 of this year, HTC posted gross revenues of $1.2 billion from 3.3 million handsets sold.
And according to Financial Time, HTC is looking for even more sales in Q2 with another 50% growth. With the new handsets like Legend, Desire, HD Mini, Smart and many others, HTC will be enjoying the high increase of sales.
Chief Financial Officer Cheng Hui-ming of HTC was giving credits to the ability to frequently and consistently bring fresh devices to the market:
“our product refresh cycle is faster than our competitors . . . if your plan was made two years before you launch your phone, then the design and pricing probably will not match the changes in the market”
