Microsoft drops Windows Phone 7 Series, it is now called Windows Phone 7
Microsoft is telling everybody that it listens. The Windows Phone 7 Series is dead even before it is launched. The name has been changed to Windows Phone 7, dropping the “series” at the back.
The name “Windows Phone 7 Series” has been a hot topic on Internet since it was announced. Hatred of the “Windows Phone 7 Series” moniker has been nearly universal — it’s too long, it trips you up every time you try to say it.
And happily, Microsoft listens and changes the name. And luckily, it is just change of name
Nothing else.
