Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to get Android 2.1 and multitouch in September?!
We have been getting mixed messages all over. The Xperia X10 was previously confirmed by the Sony Ericsson representative that it would not support multitouch because of hardware limitation. However, during an Xperia X10 launch, a representative from SE was saying otherwise – they are working on a BIG update for Xperia X10 that is to be released in September time frame and it will be Android 2.1 and it will support multitouch.
Well, it is a good thing that Xperia X10 will eventually run Android 2.1 (although it is a bit late to me). And hopefully multitouch is coming.
