Garmin Asus A10 brings Garmin Navigation to Android
Garmin-Asus has just announced the A10. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA screen, a healthy 1,500mAh battery, a multitouch-friendly WebKit browser, and an autofocusing 5 megapixel camera with automatic geotagging. With the preloaded Garmin Navigation maps and software, the A10 eliminates the need for a network connection when you need turn-by-turn voice navigation. It is said to be pedestrian optimized with its public transport-aware cityXplorer maps. It is another nice addition to the Android family. [via engadget]

Google’s Andy Rubin on Android – Flash is coming on Froyo

Unofficial Android Market apps count reaches 50,000
We knew that there were around 9,000 apps added to the Android market last month and now from an unofficial count from Androlib – the number of apps in Android Market has reached 50,000. It seems like the number of apps in Android Market has started to grow exponentially recently and it is for all Android users to celebrate. Lenovo launches Android 2.1 powered LePhone
Lenovo just announced that it is launching the LePhone in China. LePhone is an Android 2.1 powered smartphone that offers a 3.7″ AMOLED display. According to Lenovo’s chief operating officer, Rory Read, that Lenovo plans to target both enterprise and consumer customers and hopes to sell millions of phones during the next five years and “tens of millions,” after that.
