Palm Pre Plus is a multitasking workhorse, 50 apps opened at the same time

A recent multitasking test from Precentral.net has shown the upcoming Palm Pre Plus (with more RAM than the original Palm Pre) is capable of openning 50 applications at the same time. And this is amazing if you compare to iPhone, and even multitasking capable devices like Windows Mobile devices and Android handsets.

Plam Pre Plus and Pixi Plus specs leaked

A leaked Verizon document reveals detailed specifications about the upcoming Palm Pre Plus and the Palm Pixi Plus models.
The Pre Plus will come with 16GB of internal memory, as opposed to the original Pre on Sprint of 8GB. It has a 3.1″ capacitive display with 320×480 resolution and multi-touch support, slide out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, EVDO Rev A, 3MP camera with LED Flash, Bluetooth, video and music playback, and document viewer.
The Pixi Plus will come with 8GB of internal memory, 2.63″ capacitive display with 320×480 resolution and multi-touch support, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, EVDO Rev A, 2MP camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, video and music playback, and document viewer.
Both the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will not come with microSD memory card slot and will not support video recording.

WebOS reaches a new milestone – hardware accelerated 3D gaming

Palm seems to be working hard to add more features to its WebOS. And the latest is the 3D hardware accelarated gaming. The webosinternal channel on Youtube is showing a demo of Doom running on Palm Pre and it has reached a pretty impressive stage. It is working at high speed and the graphic is smooth. When Palm finishes the development of the 3D API for WebOS, we will see full 3D games start to appear in the App Catalog.

This development platform is built entirely on web, developers do not need to download anything. Just goto http://ares.palm.com to start coding, visually. The platform is also made easy for developer collaboration and app submission to Palm’s App Catalog.
