HTC HD2 gets a ROM upgrade

HTC has posted a ROM upgrade for the HD2.  The version is shown as 1.66.707.1. According to the support web, this update has the following improved functions: Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers fast and reliable SMS messaging. HTC HD2 gets a bit more when it goes to US

This sounds a bit unfair to me When HTC HD2 goes to US, it will get a bit more of RAM and ROM.  That’s 1Gb ROM instead of 512Mb and 576Mb RAM instead of 488Mb. What’s more?  They will bundle a 16Gb MicroSD when you buy it in US. I do not care about the 16Gb MicroSD they are bundling, but the internal 1Gb of ROM.  That will actually make some differences when running applications.  [...]

With Google’s strong push of Android in the market and works from Google to integrate their services tightly to the platform, it will slowly capture the mobile search market and soon the mobile market. And with the recent purchase of Admob (a mobile ads company) and release of its first Android phone, Nexus One, to the market, the big G has [...]

HTC HD2 car kit has been redesigned

The new HTC HD2 car kit has a new look.  It looks like the old iMac with the pixar-lamp looking. In my opinion, it doesn’t look as nice as the previous design.  Howver, that’s just my view.  And with the new design, it might have some enhancements that are not found in the old model. What do you think?  Going to get one yourself? [via pocketnow]

Microsoft to release Windows Mobile 6.6 before 7?

When everyone of us is expecting Microsoft to announce Windows Mobile 7  during the Mobile World Conference (MWC) in February, Digitimes reports otherwise.  Instead of 7, Microsoft is going to announce 6.6, which no one has ever heard before. The report even goes on with Microsoft will be delaying the release of Windows Mobile 7 till year 2011.  What a big disappointment to many of the Windows Mobile fans if this turns out to be [...]
