Finally, HTC has announced at it’s Chinese Pluck account that Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero is being pushed out on 4th of June. The translation of the announcement: “From 4th of June, HTC Hero will start receiving OTA update.  The main new function is Android 2.1 upgrade.” Wow, a brand new HTC Hero, finally.  However, it is not Froyo Asia users should been getting the update by now.  Anyone?

For those HTC Hero owners who are waiting for the Android 2.1 upgrade from HTC will be disappointed again, HTC is delaying the upgrade one more time to June. Have you been waiting for this, HTC Hero owners?  According to Engadget Chinese that HTC has announced to release the Android 2.1 for HTC Hero in Taiwan on 26 April. After several delays, the Google has finally come to Android devices.  It is now available in the market.  However, it is for Nexus One only but will be available for most of the Android 2.1 devices later.
