Paid apps for Android is available now for Singapore market (and may be more)

Wow, woke up this morning and found the Android market on my Galaxy S is now able to see paid apps.  And I can see the estimated price for the paid apps in the local currency. Google announced last week that there will be more markets including Singapore that will get paid apps in Android market.  And it seems like Singapore has got it, what about other markets?  Can anyone verify?

Unofficial Android Market apps count reaches 50,000

We knew that there were around 9,000 apps added to the Android market last month and now from an unofficial count from Androlib – the number of apps in Android Market has reached 50,000. It seems like the number of apps in Android Market has started to grow exponentially recently and it is for all Android users to celebrate.  More apps means more fun and more useful for the Android devices. Google: Nexus One is a “profitable business” and Android Market has 38000 apps now

AndroLib is reporting around 9300 apps were added to the Android Market in March.  And it seems like a big jump compared to the previous month. Pocketgear has acquired Handango – now featuring over 140,000 apps

Pocketgear has just acquired its competitor – Handango, and now it becomes the largest cross-platform mobile apps store on Internet, featuring 140,000 apps in the store.  That’s a figure comparable to Apple’s App Store. Android to have 150,000 apps by end of 2010, says analyst

Google says only 16,000 apps in market, not 20,000 as reported by AndroLib

Google‘s official spokesman has clarified the numbers of free and paid apps in Android Market is around 16,000, not 20,000 as reported by AndroLib few days ago. “There are currently more than 16,000 free and paid apps in Android Market.” However, Google did not state the breakdown of the free and paid apps.  May be it is just the ways both parties used to calculate the numbers.
