The source code of Android 2.0 (Eclair) has been released by the Android team. Although the Android 2.0 phone Motorola DROID and the SDK have been around for a while, it is only now for Android team to release the source code. The Android hackers like Cyanogen should have started to hack on it.  And if you are interested to have it, you can go here.

Wow!  Before the first Android 2.0 based phone, like Motorola Droid, hits the market, somebody has got it working on the first Android device, the HTC Dream (G1).  From the video, it still looks a bit rough and not fully optimized yet, but it is working.  With helps from the hacker community and the code released by Google, I am sure it will rock in a short time.
