You don’t need mercy from Google, get multitouch support on your Nexus One browser now

The famous Android hacker – Cyanogen, has releaased a patch that will make the browser on your Nexus One do pinch and zoom using your 2 fingers.  We do not need to wait for Google to make their design decision to add this to the native applications on Nexus One. It is simple, follow the instruction here on XDA-developers.  You only need to download a few files and run a few commands. The video below [...]

Pictures of HTC Bravo got leaked, coming soon?

The brother of Google Nexus One, the HTC Bravo, may be coming to market sooner than what we thought. The Bravo has almost identical specs as Nexus: 3.7″ AMOLED screen, 1Ghz Snapdragon, WVGA screen, 5MP camera, etc.  However, it has been spotted an optical joystick and it is rumoured to come with FM radio receiver.  And of course, being a high end HTC Android device, it will come with the Sense interface and the latest [...]

My mini review of Google Nexus One #1 – Hardware

It took a while for Google to deliver my phone to me.  I ordered the Nexus One from Google’s web site on 7th of January and I received it on last Friday (15th of January).  That’s a 8 days waiting of the phone. Anyway, I have no complaints about this because I am staying in Singapore and it could take a while for the phone to reach here My review will not be covering every [...]

Google gets lot of complaints for Nexus One and HTC comes in to help

The original plan for Google was to support the Nexus One users directly.  However, since after Nexus One was released to users last week, there have been a large number of complaints to Google that the support from Google is simply not good. The tranditional support channels from Google, like email, support forums and FAQs, can not satisfy users when they pay a large amount of money for the product.  Users are complaining not getting [...]

Google Nexus One to get multitouch outsie US?

That’s a piece of good news to those who stay outside US.  The Google Nexus will have multitouch enabled when it is sold outside US. According to heise.de, a test unit of the Nexus One in Germany shows it is able to do pinch and zoom on the screen.  It is the same story like Motorola‘s DROID and MILESTONE. And it is unlike those units previously saw in US that 2 fingers operations on the [...]

Google Nexus One – to buy or not to buy

After one day of struggling, I finally made the decision and ordered the Google Nexus One.  The country I am staying, Singapore, is one of the four countires that Google will ship the phone to. I am currently using HTC Hero.  Although I am quite happy with the Sense interface, but I am not satisfied with its speed and the lagging.  I was hoping to get the HTC Bravo when it is available, but I [...]

Nexus One and Singapore

Frankly, I had never expected Singapore to be one of the countries to receive Google Nexus One at launch. If you are in Singapore and want to have the latest Google Nexus One Android phone running Android 2.1, Singapore is one of the three countries outside US (the other two are UK and Hong Kong) that Google will ship the phone to.  For USD529 + shipping (around USD30) and 7% GST (I can’t confirm as [...]
