New leaked HTC HD2 ROM shows some improvement, added document tab

Hdblog.it shows a video of the leaked version 2.01 of the HTC HD2 ROM. There is an improved music tab and a newly added document tab that will shows your word, excel, and pdf documents. Do expect the ROM to come soon as there have been many updates of HD2 in HTC support site and it shows HTC is working hard on the improved software on HD2.

HTC HD2 gets another update for extended SD card support

Here is another update from HTC for their new HD2. And this time it will enhance the SD card support.
According to the HTC support site:
“This update for HTC HD2 further extends support of the SD Storage Capability. Taking pictures with your 5 Megapixel lens and dual LED flash can only truly be appreciated at the maximum quality, and now with this update, you will be able to appreciate how much more you can store in your 8GB or more SD Card.”
According to the site, this update is only applicable to Camera versions equal to Version 6.26 (Build 1921.1625), or lower.

HTC releases another fix for HD2 – this time is SMS related

After HD2 has been released to the market, we start to see updates and fixes coming from HTC support site for the HD2.
This time, HTC releases an update related to SMS. According to the site:
This update for HTC HD2 messaging lets you reach out to your friends and family with instant notifications. Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers just that: fast and reliable SMS messaging.

HTC HD2 on sales now from all three operators in Singapore

Singapore consumers, wait no more, HTC HD2 is on sale now from Stahub, Singtel and M1 now.
The launch of the HD2 is overshadowed by the iPhone war in Singapore started few days ago. The coverage from media and the operators are much lesses the iPhone. However, this super Windows Mobile 6.5 phone from HTC is still generating a lot of interest from the market. Those who preordered the phone have been collecting it from the operators. And now, it is available for general market.
The phone comes with a huge 4.3″ capacitive touch screen, a 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU and it is the first HTC Windows Mobile phone that comes wih Sense. It is top of its class.
Prices?
Starhub: Starting from SGD698 from a low plan to SGD398 for a high plan. There is an extra SGD100 off for data plan sign up.
M1: Starting from SGD838 from a low plan to SGD638 for a high plan. There is a discount f SGD100 for data plan sign up as well.
Singtel:Starting SGD838 from a low lan to SGD488 fo high plan. There is a SGD50 discount for MobileMailExchnge sign up. No discount mention for data plan sign up on their web site yet. (update 12 Dec: Out of stock according to the Singtelshop web site).
Well, if you have been waiting for this, go and grab it from the operator of your choice.
HTC HD2 gets software fix for camera issue

Have you got your HD2 and are not happy about the camera’s pink cast effect problem?
Apparently this is not a hardware issue as speculated previously. HTC has released a fix for the issue on their support web site. According to them:
“This update for HTC HD2 delivers clear digital picture quality like never before. Living up to the name of “HD” this phone and its twin LED flash will take beautiful pictures for you to cherish your memories. Displayed in brilliant vibrant colors on its 4.3 inch screen, HTC HD2 camera will delight you.”
Go and download the fix now from this link. However, this is only applicable is you’ve got ROM version 1.60.XXX.X or lower.
Status of HTC HD2 preorder from Starhub

For those who had preordered the HTC HD2 from Starhub and are waiting for it to arrive, I have heard that Starhub has started to call those who preordered the phone and some of them have already got the it.
So I guess we just have to wait patiently for Starhub to call. While the sales date of the phone keep slipping from week to week. We are really hoping it will be on sales from the operators by this weekend. So we just have to cross our fingers and wait for the announcement, hopefully this weeked.
Official HTC HD2 updated ROMs appear on web unofficially

Before you can get your hands on this beast, somebody from htcpedia has already leaked the updated ROMs for the HD2, even before they appear on official HTC support sites.
These leaked ROMs, with various languages and regions to choose from, look like the shipping ROMs from HTC as some of the HTC support sites have shown the updated ROM for HD2.
If you couldn’t wait for the ROM to show up at HTC site, you can download it here and upgrade your HD2 (if you have one 
) However, I recommand you to backup you current device before doing so.
