HTC has started to push Froyo update to Desire and other phones

It seems like HTC has finally please a lot of its customers. Its development team is now fast enough to catch up with the latest Android release.
HTC is now able to get its phones, like Desire, to run the latest Android release (Froyo) just less then 2 months after Google released it. And HTC has started to roll out the Froyo update to Desire users.
This is in fact a very good news to many people. I did not expect HTC to be a first one to update their phones to Froyo, given its track record.
I do hope HTC can keep up with this momentum and hopefully we will see its Gingerbread (Android 3.0) phones coming to the market soon after Google release it at the end of the end.
Non-official Froyo for HTC Desire surfaces

Waiting for HTC to push the official Froyo update for your Desire? If you are dare and here is an early adaption program 
Get the unofficial port of Froyo (along with Sense) from XDA-Developers. It is still in early development though and it is still buggy.

HTC says Desire, Legend and Wildfire to get Froyo in the beginning of Q3

Wow, I have never seen HTC acting this fast. According to recombu, HTC has told them thath they are working hard to get HTC Sense to run on Froyo (Android 2.2) for their 2010 devices, and that includes Desire, Legend and Wildfire.
HTC has not been able to keep up with the pace with Google’s Android releases for the pass few devices. We waited for more than half a year for them to bring Eclair (Android 2.1) to Hero and other devices. Will HTC be so qucik this time for Froyo?
Well, I certainly hope that HTC will do their best to bring the latest OS from Google to their devices to enjoy all the goodies that Google has brought to Nexus One.
Let’s hope this will happen in July!

Android 2.2 (Froyo) is coming to myTouch3G

Mytouch3G owners, your wish has come through. T-Mobile has announced that the Froyo upgrade for myTouch3G is coming.
The phone will join other HTC phones as part of the upgrading process to the world of Android 2.2 to enjoy all the new features offered by the new OS.
Evo 4g sells out like a hot cake

If you are buying a hot new EVO 4g, you have to wait now. Apparently the EVO 4g is selling like a hot cake and quickly becomes out of stock.
And many stores even have all the units in the coming second batch pre-ordered. Sprint is enjoying the great demand for this new 4g phone from HTC running Android.
From an unofficial count, it is said that some 200,000 unit of EVO 4g was sold in the first day.
Pretty amazing, hah! Especially when Apple is launching the next generation iPhone 4.

HTC starts to push Android 2.1 (EClair) OTA!

Finally, HTC has announced at it’s Chinese Pluck account that Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero is being pushed out on 4th of June.
The translation of the announcement:
“From 4th of June, HTC Hero will start receiving OTA update. The main new function is Android 2.1 upgrade.”
Wow, a brand new HTC Hero, finally. However, it is not Froyo
Asia users should been getting the update by now. Anyone?
HTC Evo 4G is on sales now from Sprint

HTC Evo 4G is on sales now. Sprint has just started the sales of this phone on their web site.
This first 4G phone from HTC, comes with a Snapdragon 1Ghz CPU, Android 2.1, largest 4.3″ screen, 8Mega pixel camera, 2 way video calling is the most advance Android phone at the moment.
