Nokia has just announced its latest Symbian^3 based phone, C6, C7 and E7. The Nokia C6-01 has an 8 megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen with all-new ClearBlack Display (CBD) technology which is said to deliver better outdoor visibility. In order to fight iPhone and Android, Nokia established the Symbian Foundation in year 2008 and promised to open source the OS that runs on millions of phone – Symbian OS. It’s a matter of time. Nokia’s Maemo platform, the N900, has been hacked to allow dual boot into Android.  The video below is showing the device is hacked to offer booting into Android.  Although nothing much (no instruction of how to do this) has been shown in the video, but we are there will be more information coming soon and the N900 owners will able to enjoy both OSes on a single device soon.

A good news for Symbian phone users, Skype has just released Skype for Symbian beta for many of the Symbian handsets.  The Symbian phone owners can now have a native Skype client for the phones and do not need to rely on any other third party clients.
