Motorola MT710 Zhiling Android OPhone going to China

Motorola is going to sell an OMS (Open Mobile Platform, China based Android variance) based phone in China from 28th December.
The phone carries a new design that does not look like any of Motorola’s existing Android phones. It doesn’t have a keyboard and the user interface looks interesting.
The MOTO MT710 has a 3.7″ FWVGA screen supporting 480 x 854 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, access to the Internet using China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network or WiFi, and the ability to download applications via the Mobile Market from China Mobile. LG announces Amundsen GW880, its first OPhone to China market

LG announces their first OPhone, Amundsen GW880, for China market. And this will be the company’s third Android based phone.
The LG Amundsen GW880 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 800 x 480 WVGA resolution, Mobile TV (CMMB, China standard), 5MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth and more. It also comes with China’s 3G connectivity known as TD-SCDMA. This will be a device purely for China market as the standards it uses are of China standards and not found in anywhere else on the planet. However, we will not rule out there might be a world version coming.

Dell Mini 3i Android to be available in China end of November

In case you have forgotten, the press release is issued to remind you that the Dell Mini 3i will be available in China by the end of the month. It means latest by next week, China users will have their hands on the first Android phone from Dell.
Dell is definitely after the huge mobile market that China has. Imagine the 500 million mobile users, that’s a largest market you can get on earth.
The phone has 640×360 3.5 inch screen, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro SD expansion slot but it has no 3G connectivity and wifi. It runs an Android based open source OS called OPhone.

Another Android based CPhone appears in China

Android war is heating up in China. Not long after China Mobile announced their Android-based Open Mobile System phone – OPhone, China Telecom is now unveiling their Android based CPhone created by Access.
During PT & Network Comm China, hold in Beijing and ended on September 20, Access had shown off their newest creation – CPhone. The phone comes with a cartoon style UI, according to Clone in China. The phone runs on Android 1.5, but the specs were kept secret.
No news whether this phone will be available outside China Market. If it does appear elsewhere other than China, it will be interesting for us to see how all these China created Android phones will perform.
