And the Nexus One community has talent modders that were working hard to bring missing features and enhancements to Nexus One.  The latest addition is to bring the missing colours back to Nexus One.  The Nexus One owners can now have different colours for various notification for messages, emails, and even twitter updates.

The mod has been added to the latest Cyanogen mod as well.  You can view the information of the mod here.
